This rare power only occurs during the ephemeral years of adolescence, a strange period when the body and mind are transitioning into the realm of adulthood.
Teens are portrayed as heroes and heroines fighting their way into a world where they are desperately needed, where their unique energy can be harnessed, but are ultimately unwelcome.
