Designer: REBEKKA RUÉTZ
During Berlin Fashion Week SS26, Austrian designer Rebekka Ruétz unveiled a collection thatwas a visceral narrative of rebirth, transformation, and the fierce resilience of the feminine spirit. Renowned for her bold material combinations, sustainable ethos, and emotionally charged silhouettes, Ruétz delivered a visual manifesto grounded in the principles of slow fashion.
Ruétz’s designs thrived on duality. Strength met softness, order dissolved into freedom, and control gave way to chaos. Tailored, architectural lines collided with fluid, organic drapes. Sleek, structured pieces were disrupted by asymmetrical cuts and unexpected openings, trimmed in glimmering gold and silver piping that danced in the light.
The textures spoke just as loudly as the silhouettes. Dense, weighty fabrics encased the body like armour, while sheer, whisper-thin layers exposed its vulnerability. The silhouettes swung between elongated, minimalist forms and oversized, cocoon-like shapes—each look a study in contrast, echoing the internal push and pull of transformation.
