As MKDT Studio continues to carve its place in the fashion world and a new season beckons, I find myself drawn to the powerful tension that fuels the creative journey. This season, we explore the concept of friction—a force that is both physical and emotional, where surfaces meet, materials engage, and opposites collide. It is the catalyst for movement, the rhythm of repetition, and the energy that transforms discomfort into harmony.

The Autumn Winter 2025 collection centres around the idea of movement as a means of creating volume, taking inspiration from the delicate art of Japanese paper-folding. Folded pleats and plissé, initially flat and unassuming, spring to life with every movement. We’ve experimented with layers and molded silhouettes, pushing the boundaries of how fabric can carry the pulse of energy and vitality. Through this collection, we celebrate the beauty of connection—the force that drives us forward. These garments are a reflection of rhythm, motion, and the ongoing dialogue between opposites that define our world.

Rooted in the principles of tailoring and longevity, our aim is to reimagine the classics—removing excess while injecting fresh energy into every piece.
