4ME4YOU FEATURES “LAURA GERTE” DURING BERLIN FASHION WEEK AW25.
Designer: Laura Gerte
Berlin-based designer Laura Gerte unveiled her Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection, Looped & Bound, at Berlin Fashion Week. Drawing inspiration from Donna Haraway’s 1985 essay A Cyborg Manifesto and the 1995 anime Ghost in the Shell, both of which delve into the fusion of humans and machines, the collection explores themes of identity, gender, and technology in a bold, futuristic context.
Gerte’s designs feature an intriguing mix of structured lines and softer, more fluid shapes. Sharp, tailored cuts are paired with playful, feminine accents, while large, voluminous silhouettes contrast with delicate, almost fragile garments. This juxtaposition of strong outerwear and ethereal pieces creates a balanced interplay between exposure and concealment. Fashion influences such as business attire, lingerie, and utilitarian wear shape the overall aesthetic of the collection.
Laura Gerte’s Looped & Bound collection highlights Berlin’s vibrant fashion scene, reinforcing the city’s reputation as a hotspot for cutting-edge, visionary designers.
