DESIGNER: DANNY REINKE
At Berlin Fashion Week SS26, Danny Reinke once again proved his reputation as a master of merging storytelling with couture craftsmanship. Presented at the Uber Arena alongside fellow designers Marcel Ostertag and Kilian Kerner as part of the CollectiveFour, Reinke’s latest collection—titled “The Hunt”—offered a breathtaking exploration of fantasy, folklore, and personal freedom.
Renowned for his commitment to bespoke design, sustainable elegance, and meticulous artisanal techniques, Reinke drew inspiration this season from the legendary Unicorn Tapestries (Maître de la Chasse à la Licorne, circa 1500). But rather than staying tethered to history, he transformed these medieval narratives into a collection that spoke to contemporary identity, myth, and the complex dance between constraint and liberation.
“The Hunt” was rich in visual symbolism, and the designs retained a distinct modernity, staying true to his house aesthetic: clear lines, refined tailoring, and a wearable elegance that invites individuality. Fluid silhouettes, draped fabrics, and structured outerwear existed in contrast and harmony—just as the collection’s theme suggests. Here, the act of the hunt was not one of conquest, but a metaphor for self-discovery and freedom.
Known internationally with collections shown in Paris, Vancouver, and his native Berlin, Danny Reinke continues to evolve his brand with a strong voice rooted in craft, consciousness, and creative expression. “The Hunt” not only captured the imagination but reaffirmed Reinke’s unique position in contemporary fashion—a designer who doesn’t just dress bodies, but tells stories through them.
With SS26, Reinke invites us not to chase the mythical unicorn, but to be it: elusive, magical, and wholly original.
