MY PROCESS

Meet Thomas, the mind behind “wearedog_utd”.. In a world that often rewards speed, ambition, and digital noise, Thomas chose to walk a different path—one that winds through silence, soil, and self-discovery. For years, he thrived in Amsterdam’s creative scene, serving as Head of Design for a global fashion powerhouse.

Surrounded by deadlines, trend forecasts, and the constant pulse of the industry, he cultivated a sharp eye for aesthetics and meaning—but somewhere along the way, the work began to feel disconnected from something essential.

  • That disconnection sparked a radical life shift. Thomas stepped away from the corporate world and toward something quieter, more intuitive. He relocated to the remote mountains of northern Portugal, settling on a hillside farm where time moves differently. There, he began weaving a new life—one rooted in slowness, nature, and introspection.
  • From this space, Thomas now hosts retreats focused on inner growth, guiding others through practices that nurture presence, awareness, and emotional resilience. But his retreat work is only one part of his creative offering.
  • Under the alias wearedog_utd, he expresses his evolving perspective through art—a raw, surreal blend of visual experimentation and poetic fragments. His pieces are often absurd, sharply ironic, and achingly human. They reflect a deep critique of modernity’s dissonance: our collective obsession with productivity, image, and external validation, and the psychological toll it takes.
  • Through strange characters, haunting imagery, and cryptic lines, Thomas invites viewers into a shared space of reflection. His art doesn’t offer neat conclusions—it opens doors. It challenges you to feel the discomfort, the beauty, the absurdity of being alive right now.
  • In a time when the world urges us to look outward, Thomas gently reminds us to look in.
