ABOUT ME

4me4you was excited to visit the HOFA Gallery, where the remarkable works of renowned artist Vladinsky were displayed in a truly captivating exhibition.

MY PROCESS

His unique perspective on art challenges the boundaries between the artist, the audience, and the very concept of creative expression.

  • Vladinsky’s journey into visual arts began at an early age, sparked by an inspiring fine arts teacher. As part of the first generation to grow up in a post-communist country, he faced the challenge of pursuing his passion within a society still learning the true meaning of freedom. His family’s support, though loving, was constrained by the societal limitations of the time.

  • A central theme in Vladinsky’s work revolves around an intriguing question: Can talent be stolen? For him, the essence of talent is not something to be hoarded or protected, but rather something that exists to be shared.

  • In his view, the viewer becomes a crucial participant in the artistic process, actively engaging with the work by piecing together fragments, reconstructing faces, and then carrying these visions forward in their own imagination. In this way, the ‘thief of talent’ is not an outsider, but the spectator themselves, transforming the artwork by making it their own.

  • Each piece Vladinsky creates starts with a simple sketch and evolves into a fluid, abstract-figurative image. Faces in his works are never fully resolved, inviting the viewer to engage with the unfinished and allowing their imagination to complete the story.

  • Vladinsky’s early creative impulses emerged at the age of seven when he began sketching cartoon characters due to a lack of available books or magazines featuring such art in his childhood environment.

  • Despite this early inclination toward creativity, Vladinsky initially followed a conventional path and felt disconnected from the world of art. For a time, he set aside his artistic practice altogether.

  • At 22, however, Vladinsky made the bold decision to fully commit to his craft. Recognising that dedication and practice were paramount to reaching the highest artistic level, he quickly grasped that art required both constant evolution and introspection.

  • He shares his philosophy: “If progress means feeding only one part of people and completely forgetting the other side, then I choose to manifest as naturally as possible and reject any form of progress that later leads to failure.” His spontaneous painting style, which has become his trademark, is the product of years of deep study into human nature, societal dynamics, and the way individuals interact with the world.

  • The works in this exhibition are born out of a paradox: within the humdrum of everyday life, pursuing art can often feel like an act of defiance, a form of madness that goes against the expectations of a ‘normal’ society.

  • This constant sense of doubt, the fear that talent may have been lost, stolen, or wasted, becomes the driving force behind his creations, propelling them into new, uncharted territories.

  • Vladinsky’s work is an invitation to reflect, question, and reinterpret. As the viewer steps into his world, they too become part of the creative process, contributing to the ever-evolving nature of the artwork itself.
