4me4you Features Digital Creator: Romain Bonduel aka Robo - “Mode Conceptuelle”.
MY PROCESS
His practice moves across visual identity, editorial design, art direction and digital creation, always with a strong sense of curiosity and experimentation.
Romain Bonduel, better known as Robo, is an independent graphic designer and art director whose work has been evolving since 2015.
Through Robo Studio, he creates a visual language that feels both considered and playful, bringing together imagery, typography, texture, material and composition.
Rather than following a fixed formula, Robo’s work is driven by research and a constant desire to see what happens when familiar visual elements are pushed in new directions
This approach comes through particularly strongly in Contemporary Masquerade, an ongoing exploration of identity, appearance and transformation.
For the series, Robo treats the body as both a canvas and a material to experiment with. Sculptural silhouettes, organic shapes and unexpected textures come together to create surreal, contemporary forms.
The result is a visual world where the lines between body, object and image start to blur.
At its heart, Contemporary Masquerade is about how we present ourselves and how easily identity can shift through appearance.
By transforming the body through shape, texture and composition, Robo opens up a space for self-expression,one where the familiar becomes something entirely new.
