4me4you recently stepped inside the ever-inspiring Stolen Space Gallery to experience “HUMAN – NATURE”, a compelling joint exhibition by acclaimed British artists Kai & Sunny and D*Face.
MY PROCESS
The show delves into the profound connections between people, the environment, and the often-invisible forces, emotional, energetic, and environmental, that bind them.
“HUMAN - NATURE”.
At the heart of the exhibition is the work of Kai Clements (of Kai & Sunny), who continues his exploration off nature’s rhythms through meticulously detailed compositions. Known for his flowing line-work and meditative visual style, Kai presents a new body of work rendered in acrylic on linen, alongside hand-detailed prints and delicate pen pieces.
His pieces pulse with kinetic energy, bursts of colour and hypnotic lines that echo the movement of wind, waves, and natural systems. More than simply visual, his works invite a full sensory engagement, prompting viewers to tune into the subtle frequencies that govern both nature and the human spirit.
A special highlight of the show is Kai’s collaboration with longtime friend and celebrated urban artist D*Face. Their artistic relationship, which dates back nearly 30 years to their days in art college, finds new resonance in this joint exhibition.
While Kai’s style evokes the calm, repetitive patterns of nature, D*Face brings a contrasting, confrontational edge, using his trademark pop-inflected, rebellious imagery to inject emotion and urban grit into the theme.
His pieces speak to our emotional and psychological responses to the environment and the tension between human influence and natural resilienc
Together, the artists present a cohesive yet multifaceted dialogue. HUMAN – NATURE reflects on the fragile balance between man and environment, order and chaos, seen and unseen.
Through vastly different yet harmoniously interwoven visual languages, Kai & Sunny and D*Face offer an immersive and thought-provoking look at the human condition and our ever-evolving relationship with the world around us.
