MY PROCESS

Before founding Studio Jon Christie, Jon underwent a profound journey that left an indelible mark on his design philosophy and skillset. With over two decades immersed in the world of classic 20th-century design, he honed a keen eye for timeless aesthetics and meticulous craftsmanship. At the age of 40, driven by a thirst for growth, Jon courageously pursued further education, a decision that would redefine his path.

His academic voyage commenced at Dundee College, where he delved into the intricacies of 3D Design. Subsequently, he enrolled at the University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. In June 2016, Jon proudly earned a Bachelor of Design (Hons) degree in Interior & Environmental Design.

Continuing his pursuit of excellence, he undertook a Master of Science in Product Design, graduating in May 2018.

In 2021, Jon took the leap to establish his namesake studio, opening its doors to private commissions. Through close collaboration with clients, the studio breathes life into their distinctive visions while embracing minimalist principles and the mindful use of natural materials.

This approach not only pays homage to traditional design philosophies but also ventures into innovative territories that enrich the human experience.

Today, Studio Jon Christie stands as a testament to Jon’s journey, expertise, and unwavering dedication to merging functionality with beauty. Serving a diverse clientele spanning the globe, the studio thrives on the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each project.
