With “Shifting Light,” Bakir and Hedlund captured the mood of late summer tranquility,  a meditation on identity, transition, and the warmth of presence. The collection drew inspiration from the way light lingers and transforms through the day, evoking a sense of grounded serenity.

The color palette ranged from faded sunflower yellow and sun-bleached linen tones to verdant olive, cream, sand, and oxidized metallics, suggesting sunlight glancing off stone or skin. Fabrics were natural and responsive, including lightweight cottons, linen blends, and paper-touch silks that moved fluidly with the body. Silhouettes were relaxed, draped, and deliberately unstructured, offering ease over rigidity, fluid tailoring, soft coats, and layered garments designed to be companions rather than statements.

As Saif Bakir explained:  “With Shifting Light, we wanted to create a collection that feels like a deep exhale, a quiet moment of clarity in a world that’s constantly moving. It’s about softness with intention and strength that comes from being grounded.”
