Her work is a compelling reflection of a modern thinker rooted in history, yet constantly pushing forward into the future.

MY PROCESS

Her artwork explores themes such as cultural identity, scientific legacy, and technological evolution. She employs innovative techniques including digital fabrication and AI-assisted design..

On Artistic Process & Tools

Can you walk us through your creative process—from initial spark to finished piece—including how you use AI tools?

My creative process is rooted in research and observation—habits shaped by my scientific background.

  • I approach ideas like hypotheses: beginning with a spark, then testing and refining them through sketches, references, and iterative development.
  • I work in a hybrid mode, combining AI platforms such as MidJourney, DALL·E, and Pika with traditional photography, design, and archival research.

My scientific training informs how I approach prompt engineering, allowing me to experiment systematically. I fine-tune variables like lighting, perspective, and symbolic motifs until the results align with my artistic vision.

Instead of adhering to a rigid routine, I follow a structured cycle: research experimentation analysis reflection. It’s a creative methodology that mirrors the scientific method—adapted to the practice of artmaking.

On Inspiration & Philosophy

What drives you to create - emotion, message, aesthetics, curiosity? Has this changed since working with AI?

My inspirations are deeply rooted in Qatari heritage, Islamic manuscripts, and global fashion and design—interwoven with the precision and curiosity fostered by my scientific background.

Recurring motifs such as pearls, desert patterns, cheetahs, and tapestries serve as cultural metaphors, while the iterative nature of AI echoes the logic of natural systems and scientific experimentation.

  • What drives my work is a dynamic balance of emotion, message, aesthetics, and inquiry. Engaging with AI has amplified my curiosity; I see the technology as a laboratory for reimagining heritage through a contemporary lens.

Philosophically, I believe that art in the age of AI should do more than captivate visually. It should preserve memory, provoke reflection, and illuminate the ways in which science and creativity can mutually enrich one another.

On Identity & Intention

Do you see yourself more as a creator, curator, or director when working with AI, and how has this shaped your identity as an artist?

I see myself as a learner first, and a creator second. Every experiment—whether with AI or traditional media—offers a new lesson. At times, I take on the role of a director, shaping the scene; at others, I feel more like a researcher, observing what the work reveals on its own.

  • When I begin a piece, I don’t start with fixed answers but with open-ended questions: What story is waiting to be uncovered? What emotion might emerge? My hope is simply that the audience connects with the work in their own way, discovering meaning that resonates personally.

On Challenges & Community

What are some challenges you’ve faced—technically or personally—while working with AI art, and how have you addressed them?

The greatest challenges I have faced are twofold: technically, navigating the unpredictability of AI systems, and personally, ensuring that cultural nuance is preserved throughout the process.

My scientific training has been invaluable here, teaching me patience, persistence, and the importance of experimentation.

What advice would you give to new AI artists, and how do you hope the AI art community evolves in the future?

My advice to emerging AI artists is to treat AI as both a partner and a tool for experimentation. Be intentional, integrate your unique background, and aim to create work that transcends fleeting trends.

I hope the AI art community evolves with greater cultural depth, ethical rigor, and interdisciplinary collaboration—where science, art, and technology come together to create a lasting impact.
