4ME4YOU features designer SIA ARNIKA during Berlin Fashion Week SS26.
DESIGNER: SIA ARNIKA
Sia Arnika created garments that straddle tension, unapologetically sheer fabrics, overly tight silhouettes, and pieces cinched or misaligned in ways that felt purposefully “wrong,” yet achingly intimate.
Rather than adhering to conventional design logic, Arnika let emotion and memory lead the way. Drawing on her own childhood memories and the brutally honest autobiographical work of Norwegian author Karl Ove Knausgård, she crafted pieces that felt like personal diary entries stitched together in silk and tulle. It wasn’t about wearing something flattering—it was about wearing something real.
The models floated through the space like ghosts from a teenage fever dream: sheer slip dresses exposing underpinnings, low-slung skirts in faded pastels, tops tight to the point of discomfort, and oversized bows that seemed borrowed from forgotten party dresses. Every detail hinted at a deep yearning—those summer nights that feel both endless and insufficient, Arnika explained.
SIA ARNIKA has never been interested in easy beauty. With “Summer Time Sadness,” she created a collection of poetic unease, clothing that stings just as much as it soothes. It’s the kind of fashion that resonates long after the runway lights go out—quietly unsettling, deeply personal, and defiantly fragile.
