The Garment’s Spring Summer 25 collection is inspired by the craft of Thorvaldsens Museum, the first contemporary art museum in Denmark. Founded by Bertel Thorvaldsen, who was the first international art student from Copenhagen appointed by the art academy at the age of eleven, the museum embodies a long-standing Welcome to The Garment’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, where fashion meets art in a unique celebration of craft and heritage. This season, we draw inspiration from the iconic Thorvaldsens Museum, Denmark’s first contemporary art institution, founded by the visionary sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen. His legacy, rooted in classical artistry and international acclaim, continues to influence young creatives who gather in the museum’s courtyard to seek inspiration—much like the guests at our show.
There collection reflects this artistic spirit with a blend of masculine-inspired silhouettes and feminine grace. Light grey melange linen, reminiscent of menswear, is reimagined with a soft, breathable touch that radiates effortless elegance. From chic knitted polos to intricately crafted crochet dresses, each piece embodies designer Eskildsen’s commitment to reinterpreting tradition with modern sensibility. As Eskildsen herself says, “I wanted to create the person, not the trend. In this world, sensitivity is my direction.”
