The main focus of my work are life-size female sculptures made from massive tree trunks, which I usually try to be as realistic as possible. But sometimes I also create small-format female figures, mostly stylised and with deliberately exaggerated body proportions. With all sculptures, my aim is to put female beauty in the foreground: self-confident, calm, pensive, erotic.
I am also inspired by the zeitgeist of the “Roaring Twenties”, in particular the mysticism and the ideal of beauty that arose around the Berlin dancer and style icon Anita Berber.
